At Berber Rituals, we inspire beauty through berber folk art in a way that is in line with our values. We bring you only the best hand-made and authentic pieces from local communities, supporting them to improve their conditions of life.
WHAT WE DO
We source our products from the heart of the berber villages in the Moroccan Atlas mountains. We personally drive and venture around to get you the best, right from the source.
Our partners are mainly women weaving at home, but we work also with local women coopertives.
We carefully choose our products to offer you only the authentic, hand-made and the highest quality. We diversify our offer because eachone of you has a unique definition of beauty, and we love that! The berber folk art is rich enough and we are sure you will find your style in our collection.

We weight our decisions and actions against their impact on the people, the planet and the profits. The idea of putting the social and environmental benefits ahead of the pecuniary benefit might sound simplistic and sometimes naive. But it is what makes us very different from any other berber carpet specialist out there.
As Moroccans, we know what it takes to survive in isolated villages suspended to the high Atlas mountains. We know how valuable is every dirham people might earn, for them and for their children. Above all, we know how unfair it is to get too little for too much hard work. So We want to change a situation where Berber women hardly get any decent compensation for their efforts. We want to make their life better.
We strive to have a very low environemental footprint. Of course, we burn some carbon during our travels to get there where no body goes, but we perceive it as for a good cause. We promote the usage of natural and locally made materials, and we embrace recycling as the fuel of one of our main product ranges: Boucherouite.

Many weavers have hard time to deal with their daily life expenses. Making a carpet can prove to be a risky investment they can't afford to take. So, we help them to start. We provide the initial raw material or we pay part of the product price before hand.
