Absolutely gorgeous Beni Ouarain rug with typical pattern. Incredibly thick and densely knotted with a field in ivory and a network of doubled lines defining regular diamond pattern the all framed in tones of dark brown. The lines are finely twisted on one side showing traditional zellige design patterns. Diamond patterns or otherwise lozenge is pretty common in Moroccan Berber rugs as one of the main female symbols in Berber culture. Newly hand-woven with first quality wool, excellent quality weaving and very nicely finished with twirled fringes at both ends.
